I like speedlingerie.com
It's been tested up to 186 mph w/ no flapping. Protects the front radiators too from bugs and stones. On and off in a snap and colored to match factory colors.

Any further thoughts about this? I first assumed I'd get a clear bra, but now I'm thinking that on the street I should be ok without a bra and just put on an opaque (speedlingerie?) bra for the time on the track.

For those of you without bras, do you see much damage on normal streets and highways?

Chris, just noticed today a chip on the top of my plastic bumper. All street driving. Only have 1700 miles. Definitely gonna get a clear bra. Cost?

Get the clear bra, because those Victoria Secret items won't protect the wheel arches and sills where most chips occur - plus it looks better.

As often as I wash the car. Usually after 4 drives (The car does not sit dirty). I would take it off immediately after I got home and it was raining. Pretty rare occurrence for me in that car.

I have attached the front plate to the bra with a spezial invention I came up with so that when the bra comes off, so does the plate. Takes me less than 5 minutes to put the bra back on.

As long as you check the leading edge of the bra to make sure no dirt is there your all set. For daily driving, the clear bra is clearly the answer for you.

My 03 C2 showed quite a bit of chipping in 8000 miles. I did clear bra on the GT. It cost about $600 for a custom job.

I've seen prices for the clear bra in the $600-900 range. Do you know off the top of your head what it costs to get chips repainted professionally (a "respray"), and how good that is compared to the stock paint? I think I read on another thread here that someone concluded the cost of an occaisional respray was cheaper and looked better overall than the clear bra.

Thanks, mborkow. That helps quite a bit. Sounds like a clear bra is the way to go.

BTW, call me Chris. :-)

chris,

i was chatting with a guy who had the nose job, and then put on clear armour. the nose job was $2k and the clear armour was about $1k. if i had an extra $3k burning a hole in my pocket that would be the perfect solution...but i already had to get a vavle job and a new cluth this year so i am already way over budget on this car this year...that is why i am thinking of the SL bra: will cover the little chips i have now...

That's what I'd do if I were in your position, mborkow. My situation is different. I hope to get my car in the next month!
