Thanks for the recommendations! Looks like I have brake pads, wheels and tires in my near future... well, at least by January when we are back in So Cal.

my experience with PF 97 is that they work great at the track. The downside is the amount of dust that the pads produce, crazy! Worst of it all, on my other track car I had a very difficult time getting the rims clean. I finally gave the car into a company that specialises in rims. Has anyone experienced this with the rs 19 pagid pad? Do they produce alot of dust? Do the pads make a vibrating sound when driving on bumpy roads? I know that sometimes the abs and pad sensor might not like it with race pads, any problems with the GT3?

Matrox - I agree with RSRS no unusual dust problems with the RS-19. The front pads have the notch for the wear sensor, the rears do not. They do have one quirk - when they are cold, braking from a decent speed (120KPH for example) makes the front brakes moan. Only when cold. All the GT3's with RS 19s make this same sound.
If you hear a rattle or clunk from the front brakes, it is usually because the flat spring over the pads is too soft. Bend it to apply more pressure to the pads and the noise is cured.

so rs 19 it is, if the stock pads won´t cope with track use. Do you think its recommended to change the front discs to new ones before changing the pads? Some say its needed to get full performance from the new pads.

According to the Pagid web site, changing rotors is not required. They worked fine on my old rotors out of the box. Note that I file a chamfer (45 degree angle) on all the edges of the pad before installing them. This is also suggested by Pagid and reduces squeal. Takes no time as a single pass with a file does the job.

You don't need to change discs - the pads WILL need a longer amt of time to bed in, however.
If the discs are fairly worn, hard/high performance braking is quite suspect for the first hundred or so miles. Uneven side to side and front to back. Be careful! - Even though you have anti-lock brakes -
