One of the top Porsche Cup drivers in the UK is just 16, which is too young to have drivers licence over there, and he is putting on an incredible show.

Alonso; he became the youngest to get a pole in F1 history, then youngest to get a podium finish in F1, shortly after in another GP he became youngest to set the fastest lap in an F1 race, and then in Hungary became youngest driver to win a F1 race, and best of all he did it not in a 2003 Ferrari, Williams or McLaren but in a Renault. Not a bad, reminds me of Valentino Rossi Now if he'd only get a Ferrari or Honda when his contract expires in 2006

Carlos... do I detect some Spanish pride.

In a similar vein, am keen to seen Mark Weber continue his progression, hopefully he'll emulate Alan Jones in the Williams.

Speaking of Rossi...do recall Mick Doohan trying out an F1 car...

[From the foregoing should be clear...am an Aussie]

I was a bit obviuos wasn't it?

Yeah, Weber finally gets a real chance since he will be on Williams next year

Rossi also tried an F1 recently but he gave quite a surprise, in just 20 laps in an 2004 Ferrari F1 just like Schummi's, he managed to lap only 3 seconds off the Fiorano track record!

I'd like to see any of the F1 drivers trying to ride a MotoGP bike

BTW the "new gen Rossi" is on his way, Daniel Pedrosa (a personal favorite young primise of Rossi BTW), after being the second youngest rider to win a World Motorcycling Championship at the age of 18 in his first 125cc full championship debut last year, he is now already leading by more than 25 point the 250cc category in his first year in this class also, and after only short preseason practice and acclimatation with the 250cc due to his bilateral ankle fracture in the last 125cc race last year. Thats even faster progression than Rossi, Rossi needed two years in each category to win the championship up to 500cc/MotoGP. Pedrosa seems to be heading to win the championships in his debut years! ... ooops there I go again
