2005 GT3 allocations
Does anyone happen to know how late in 2005 the GT3 build allocations run? My local dealership has two early 05 allocations but I wish to take delivery as late as possible in 05. Thanks.

Two is a lot at this point, at most 200 altogether is the current thinking. They might not get anymore...and then again could Porsche blow out another allocation.

the existing data suggests that the '05 allocations that do exist are few and far between and won't be extended. based on information shared here, they've probably hit the 700 units number (produced, not delivered yet) already. so the '05 stuff would be any top-up (650 to 700 or 675 to 700 - that sorta stuff) or the extra 200 units they've rumored to have upped production by. but even if it's 250 cars beyond what exists now (and they're still producing '04s), production won't have to run that long to meet that volume. i'd be stunned if production had to run past 12/31/04 - never mind october.

They WILL reach the 750 for 2004. All they have to do is punch the tub and print the VINs (they do not have to be fully assembled, but they will be), for the cars before 9/03 for them to still be 2004 cars. PAG will do this.
As for the 200 cars, those will all be 2005 cars and should be available, it may be difficult, but if you want a 2005 car, you should be abel to find one, only problem could be finding one when you want it delivered.

I have placed a deposit with a local dealer for an '05 GT3. Apparently it will be an October production with a December delivery. My invoice has an order reference number and an order status of "ACPORD".

Yep, 04 production & delivery. I have a quick question...
When you see "custom tailoring" as one of the options, what is that?
Also, I ordered black interior with red belts. Does that mean that the stitching in the seats will be red too? I've seen black seats with yellow belts and those seats had yellow stitching.
thanks.

deviating stitching is itself a separate order item. you might want to download the order guide PDF off the suncoastporsche.com site and peruse that. i believe a number of different items will trigger that generic "custom tailoring" code, but don't quote me on that.
