Just called my dealer and my car is affected. He shows it as a recall after doing his research to see if my car was in the list, rather than a simple service bulletin. Anyone else hear this? Haven't received anything in the mail from Porsche - this is the first place I heard about it! Better get it fixed so I can safely explore all the higher elevations in Iowa....

Hi Rockitman was looking to purchase a GT3 WP0AC29934S692211 googled and came up your name was this yours? if so wandering if you can help me with some background on the car? anything would be appreciated. (First time I've used this not sure if its the right place to post not very good at I.T!!!)
This TSB affects a certain range of US and Canadien MY04 GT3's. I'll quote from the TSB: " Due to a software error in the DME control unit, it is possible that the DME control module changes to a limited operating program when driving in the lower part-load range in high altitudes."
There are 271 affected US cars and 15 Canadien. The VIN ranges for the affected vehicles are:
US: WP0AC29994S692066 to WP0AC29994S692357
Can: WP0AC29944S692072 to WP0AC29904S692294
Since I am not sure how the VIN numbering system works, Can someone tell me if my car is affected???
US VIN: WP0AC29934S692211
It doesn't appear to fall in the range from my guess, but I am not sure. Thanks.
