Well, I fall into that range.
Not every VIN within that range is affected. The affected VIN's are listed in subsequent pages within that TSB. Consult your dealer to see if yours is listed.

Just called my dealer and my car is affected. He shows it as a recall after doing his research to see if my car was in the list, rather than a simple service bulletin. Anyone else hear this? Haven't received anything in the mail from Porsche - this is the first place I heard about it! Better get it fixed so I can safely explore all the higher elevations in Iowa....

It is called a voluntary Workshop Service Action, and gets performed during an affected car's next visit to the dealer.

You're welcome, and thanks for your support. BTW, a recall is usually safety related. If there isn't a known danger resulting from a faulty situation, it wouldn't be called a recall.

There are 271 affected US cars and 15 Canadien. The VIN ranges for the affected vehicles are:

US: WP0AC29994S692066 to WP0AC29994S692357
Can: WP0AC29944S692072 to WP0AC29904S692294

Since I am not sure how the VIN numbering system works, Can someone tell me if my car is affected???

US VIN: WP0AC29934S692211

It doesn't appear to fall in the range from my guess, but I am not sure. Thanks.

That car is literally a piece of junk now haha. Speaking from experience here, don't expect to get it for anything less than $40k.
