Don't expect much mechanical sympathy
Do expect velocities most of us would not achieve under the circumstances.

Great video, watched it many times, along with this one - lots of shifting and bouncing off rev limiter. Seems like these cars have short gearing.
Also, they are nuts, driving 100+ MPH on the verge of control a few feet from trees, houses, and probably cows.

Wonderful. Gotta love that sequential shifter.

I am unsure what that stalk to the right of the shifter actually does (looks like it's a handbrake). Can anyone tell me?

I'm pretty sure it's a hand brake for the rear wheels. It seems that there's a lot less steering wheel moving/correcting than what I'm used to when I'm driving at a higher speed. It may be down to my alignment versus his, as mine seems to hunt and track dips in the road. Either way... it is impressively insane how that guy handles that car. As Rootwitch said, it is a crazy speed right next to trees, fences, and houses.

I can confirm that is indeed a handbrake, albeit modified. Drift cars use a similar setup.
