There's only one problem I see with driving a GT3 at age 23.

It's kind of like that poor sap in Louisiana who, for a few hours, could call Brittney Spears his wife. Where do you go from there???

I don't know, but I guess I wouldn't turn down a night of wedding nuptuals with Brittney. Or a new GT3 (the automotive equivalent).

Quite frankly, given the choice, I'd take the GT3 any day... It's prettier, lower maintenance, refines (rather than wrinkles) with age, and sounds a helluva lot better.

Niels makes a good point. With Brittney, you'd want to ADD sound deadening material!

I have no problem with you getting a GT3. I hate you because you're 23!

Since you already have a 993 and since jaleous people probably cannot see the difference between a 993 and a GT3, I would say go for it. I know that Europe is different than the US in that regard but really a lot of the felt pressure is all in your head: most people don't really care about what you drive.

Thomas: you ought to buy one here in the US and take it back to Europe, especially if your money is in Euros at the moment. I would assume that the favorable exchange rates would pay for your trip and shipping and maybe more.

A prominent Porsche collector in my area has a new black GT-3 for sale for $US110000

Even better, we have Swedish krowns and I have already looked into importing from the states.

But, with all the VAT etc, etc.. I will have to pay for it to be imported I would end up loosing money, rather then saving so that is basicly not a very good idea. (VAT is 25%)

The plan in to import the car from another country part of the European Union. Then there will be no sales tax or VAT added when I import it to Sweden.

Also, I'm not looking for a bran new GT3, I'm not producing Eminem or Britney Spears kind of music you know
I find a 2000 model GT3 more suitable..

Is there VAT on a used car? You could send me the $$$ and I will buy one for you & drive it around here until it meets the used car criteria, and then send it over.

The drummer for Dave Matthews Band lives down the street from me. He drives a yellow TT. Nice car, good dude.
