ummm, I think I'll let the escalade alone. Not racing thank you. He can go roll his "ride". A 500 HP escalade is pointless.

I never said that some of these guys arent savy, i just don't see how they would have any knowledge on my 951. right guys? any of you ever owned/worked on a 944 turbo? anyone sick of this thread and think its too OT, and not want it to be the longest of GT history?

Eyal
I had a 1988 that we chipped, exhaust, changed banjo nut, etc etc. The damn thing would scream! I still think that the bang-for-the-buck that you get from a 951 can't be touched in most cars costing 3 to 5x as much. Unless you go strange. I had a 1971 (I think) Datsun 240Z that I put a custom HI PO small block V8 with a small nitros kit in. Over 525hp on the dyno. Talk about fast; if I remember right, 0-60 was close to 3 seconds. What a blast!

Bang for the buck, yes 951 all the way... if you can fix stuff, otherwise you'll be spending a lot of money servicing the car. A LOT!

Very true... for those of us who can do the work, you can't beat the 951. Performance in every sense possible, and comfort to boot. I love Lorelei... always will; she always puts a big ol' grin on my face

I can't think of a single car that is this fun to drive under 10x the price I paid, bar one certain kit car: the FFR spec Cobra.

Boxster (non S) is not nearly as fun, not as fast, and quite frankly pretty cheaply built. At least the interior is. I'll take the 944 turbo please.

If Eyal had a Boxster, he'd have no where to sit!

Very true, but I also wouldn't have a turbo to replace.

Ok, the escalade that will be here bosts: 0-60 in 6.5..lateral acceleration .88G's....etc. Eyal called "bs" on the www.villagcoffeeroaster.com forum. So the bet is, if it can do the 0-60....he was to down another bottle of syrup.....any suggestions on the flavor? for more info on the caddy: www.dyno-proven.com

i didnt call bs on the 6.5 0-60, which isn;t verry impressive. you can get anything to do that, and my car is faster in stock trim. MY beef is with the .88g lateral skid pad. I also find the car pretty pointless.

HAHAHAHA!! Classic!

I'm not too convinced of the Boxter myself... however, I have heard as underpowered it is to wear the badge, that it is THE most flingable car out there. Makes sense I guess; low polar moment of intertia, mid-engine, RWD.

...any owners willing to let me find out for myself??

0.88g in an Escalade? You've gotta be kidding me! ...right??
