Another 2005 GT3
I've been a lurker for nearly a year on this board and the 997 GT3 board. I'm a hardcore engineer-nerd, so I've been digesting every scrap of information I can while reading thru more than 10 years of forum threads. I've also been watching market inventory in great detail during that time. And now... those efforts have finally paid off. I'm now the proud owner of a near perfect 2005 996 GT3.
This is my fourth Porsche, third 911, but only GT3. 30+ years ago I bought my first 911 - a 1970 911T. When I finally made a decent pile of money, I bought a 2012 911 GTS. It was a VERY nice car, but lacked a lot what thrilled me about the old 911T. It was much more a grand tourer than a canyon carver. Very large (too wide), and with way too many nannies. It was fast, and could be driven fast, but lacked excitement. It was pretty clear the nannies did most of the driving too keep you from doing anything stupid (read: fun). I stopped driving the car and sold it less than 2 years into owning it.
I'm very happy to have snagged one of the last true analog 911s. I'm planning on keeping this for a VERY long time, and buying MANY sets of tires. The car is near perfect condition. The PPI came back with scratches under wing where a buffer handle has rubbed. The coolant lines have been knurled, re-glued, and pinned. All that's left to do is drive and enjoy.

Me too! Not sure why, but they did full leather except for the shifter. I hate fake suede. I love the deviated stitching. My build sheet lists "custom tailoring" (Z0997) Not sure what that means.

From looking at your build sheet, my best guess is it's the deviated stitching on the steering wheel, as that is not separately listed on the build sheet.
Some more info here as well.
