Apologies if it has already been discussed in this thread...I would like to fit a "cup style" center exit exhaust, thus eliminating the side mufflers and factory cats. Would this cause any issues with CELs and if so how is this rectified if not wanting to tune the car?
I went with a 997.1 Cup full exhaust on mine, it sounds awesome - it has the cats and I have had no CEL or emission issues in PA. I started with modifying the existing bumper but then went with a center exit bumper from Ed at Demonspeed

Did you notice an increase in performance? The muffler I am considering has loose catalysts so I was planning on gutting the cats altogether, hence my question about CEL. If my memory serves me correctly the cup muffler bolts right up to the factory headers if you have the elbows. Did you use the factory cup elbows or fabricate? Also does it retain the O2 sensors?
i had Fabspeed headers and nocats as track only before but I haven't had chance to drive and compare the car much with the new setup with winter here, 30+ days to Spring..... The Cup setup was a full one with headers with the CATS on them so an easy fit and no mods needed. Not sure on O2, would need to look but assume they're in there from the Cup setup too. I can take a pic and DM it to you
