Anyone has an idea what the difference is between these two?

Build quality and sizing. I'd get the cheap ones. I've seen people that simply took their mufflers and cut off the pipes.
You could also post up on the 996 board and see if anyone has a set laying around. People get them and take them off and then let them sit. I wouldn't be surprised if you found a few sets available.

^ Any 996 (incl non-GT3) muffler bypass would do/fit?

Three Wheelin'
Same stock bumper. The Dundon full exhaust totally transforms the car. $$$ YES, but this car deserves the best. Dundon exhaust provides sound, performance, quality build and materials, less weight, and a life time warranty. Dundon full exhaust 37pounds vs stock full exhaust 112pounds.

Should be fine. All the 996's are almost the same width and they all have basically the same configuration. Just push them deeper if they stick out too far.
Others here may be able to give a more definitive answer if you're still concerned. I'm going off memory and a few assumptions. But for a $500 difference, I'd just go with the ebay version and return them if they don't fit. It's a turn pipe. No way I'd spend $700.
Googled and found this: https://www.vividracing.com/fabspeed...04-p-7834.html Seems like Vivid thinks they're the same.

I was looking to go this similar route, just with 997 GT3 headers and some type of custom rear section. I just have an issue with finding a set of tips that properly fit the stock bumper. Nice setup, any sound clips?

Thx for the suggestions and clips! Dundon sounds great, too! Though not sure it sounds $7200 better than the muffler bypass pipes which also take 60lbs off while keeping most of the exhaust system stock. With the muffler bypass it's a simple plug and play swap to bring the car fully back to stock. Maybe I need to hear and compare them in person to become convinced.
