Suncoast motors has their yellow 2004 GT 2 on ebay. I don't know how to do the link, but enter porsche turbo and it's on page one. It will be interesting to see what the car brings since so few are claimed to be coming to North America.

I know that this will probably spur a lot of responses about how the GT3/GT2 does not even need a radio - but I noticed on this GT2 that there is a CD exchanging in the boot / trunk. I thought I had read that they CDR23 with it's advanced MOST bus cables did not allow for a CD changer. Maybe they have made some changes? Maybe an iPod, or MP3 player, could now be hooked up to play on the system without the FM modulator?

It is beautiful, but it sure would be hard to pay that when you KNOW that when you drive it off the lot your pockets will be $30000-40000 lighter. It is one thing to be sucker-punched but it is a whole other level of pain when you see it coming and still take it on the chin.

Suncoast claims it's one of 13 . Which is confirmed on the Porsche order computer. The question is will the low number make this 04 GT 2 hold it's value more than the 02s and 03s? Watt, who is close to an expert on thses cars seems to think that the 04 may only be worth 10 to 15 more than an 03 down the line, if I am understanding him correctly, and 03s are in the tank all over the country.

Les,
we'll see how it pans out, what i said is i will only pay 10-15 more than a new 03. i do expect new 04's to be 160 ish at least a year from now.
and who in their right mind, other than you before you went crazy and cancelled your order, would pay 197++ for an 04, when 03's are such a steal??? i am certainly incapable of using the differences to their potential since i cant drive an 03 to its potential.
it also blows me away that neither suncoast nor newport ordered their 04 with the CF wing which is de rigeur.

Watt,
There is no doubt that 02s and 03s are a steal right now. Perhaps the best all around super car on the planet for the money. However the theory for buying an 04 is the exclusive nature of having one of say 15 or so GT 2s that will be easily distinguishable from the approx. 250 GT2s built before it. I completely agree(which is painful to admit since we rarely agree on anything) that most drivers including myself would never be able to use the added HP or suspension improvements. Further, I will also agree with you that they will be down to 160ish a year from now if the 15 or so people who buy one decide to sell so soon. The concern if we are waiting to buy one and have someone else eat the depreciation is the availability issue. 15 is a small amount of product to choose from if thats the GT 2 you covet. Lucky for me those low volume 911s don't appeal to me.

What do I have to do to get on that Will? If I had a GT2 I would have a permanent "O" face....which would probably hurt my lap times.
There is also a black 2004 GT2 in AutoWeek, located in NH, no price given.

I think that NH 04 GT 2 is IRA Porsche. Alfie from IRA was trying to let everyone on this forum know about car until Watt, went post office on poor Alfie and sent himr running for cover. An 04 GT 2 registry will be asy to keep track of with only 15 cars. Poor Alfie he never had a chance against the master grinder.

Come on now guys, as things go Alfie is not a bad guy, and his insights are pretty good for this forum. He doesn't set "dealership" prices, and has to work within a set of constraints. Let's not behead the messenger, just because we don't like what he says.

Colm,
we're just enjoying ourselves and we like Alfie fine. I suggest you Never argue with idiots - first they drag you down to their level, then they beat you with experience. and we have neuron damage too.
ALfie's owner is stuck with that black 04 in NH, thought it was boston.... such is life
