I haven't built my funnel yet...my GT3 is at the shop with the engine out right now after I blew a coolant hose at the track...replacing all of them...and adding many "while you are in there" preventive repairs.
Well, deckled off would help, but I still think oil chokes up in the filler tube.

My wide-bottomed funnel jams nicely into the deckled, but filling too fast causes oil to come out of the filler tube.

Screwing on a cap with two tubes (one vent and one fill with a funnel) would either eliminate the issue or, at the least, move it outside of the engine compartment.

A Porsche mechanic friend says it's been a slow process since the beginning.

Everyone knows what happens if you forget to dump the sump first before removing the oil filter. LOL

OK guys so I finally finished my beta test version of the "Oil Bong". I have not tested it yet...will at the next oil change...but it seems like it will work.

I think that will work great. It may be slow due to the hose size, but so what! That's what a comfy chair and mug are for.

Thanks, It can't be any slower than pouring into the nearly horizontal factory fill tube! IMO this is the rate limiting step regardless of the funnel used.

GLug Glug.
Love this "rube goldberg" solution.
"A Rube Goldberg machine, named after cartoonist Rube Goldberg, is a machine intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and overly complicated way. Wikipedia".

But Nick's solution is Direct, not Indirect.

Inspiring solution, reminds me of these ones I use at my buddies shop on my BMW cars that lock onto the opening like a cap:

Apparently there are a lot of uses for the funnel you chose:

I have a brain that retains useless facts and I am pretty sure this funnel has the same shape as a shewee. I don’t know if it will work size wise, but if so I am sure the folks at shewee will be happy to hear about the untapped GT3 market

Amazing and might actually be a viable solution!
