Who has made a custom oil funnel solution?
I have an extra oil cap... Thinking since oil fill on the GT3 is such a PITA I should use it to make some sort of custom oil funnel by drilling a hole in it and gluing some sort of tube and funnel to it.
I can't be the first person to think of this... Who here has made a funnel solution?.... If you have please post a photo! I'm looking for ideas.
Thanks in advance!

Anything you make needs to have both a port for the incoming oil and a separate return tube for air. Much like the vent for a household sink or toilet that goes up through the roof.
Otherwise it will be a slurpy mess when a bubble goes back up.

I always use a cheap zip tie to secure it to the lock hasp for the engine cover
pretty sure the funnel and some appointments came from Pep Boys (Manny / Moe / Jack )

hose clamp and about 2' of soft hose, leaves the 911 filler tube in the clamp

I have used a large piece of heavy duty aluminum foil to create a funnel for adding various fluids in a variety of cars. Don’t know if it would work in a GT3.
I make the narrow part of the funnel slightly narrower than the opening so air can escape.
I keep a piece in my “emergency” and track kits as it’s better than nothing, folds flat, takes little space and is disposable.

My funnel's mouth is nearly as wide as the filler tube, but filling too fast will cause oil to run out of the filler tube.
Of course if you want an oil change experience to complain about; do an oil change on my 2006 V6 Cayenne.

Yes, but I think the constriction that gets me is in the filler tube itself, not the funnel.

I haven't built my funnel yet...my GT3 is at the shop with the engine out right now after I blew a coolant hose at the track...replacing all of them...and adding many "while you are in there" preventive repairs.
