Default Quickjack 5000 lift for sale at Costco, $999 delivered

The Quickjack is a great little lift, very sturdy, safe, and portable. Costco has them for $999 right now, delivered.

They make a power unit version that is 12V specifically for portable use, but the power unit that comes with the Costco version is 110V. No reason you couldn't bring it to the track as long as you are trailering...

Looks slick, just ordered one!

Question - do you need jack pads for the lift points or is there padding on the lift?

Ramps are all metal. Mine came with a couple of sets of rubber blocks.

They all come with 2 sets of rubber blocks. Tall and short for use under the jack points. They also offer separately tall and short blocks that have the groove cut in them for clearing pinch weld on some cars.

Interesting. How easy/hard is it to assemble and maintain? Any long-term users?

Be nice if it could lift high enough to drop the engine. I don't think you could get enough lift.

It's just a tiny bit fiddly to set up, you have to attach the quick-couple connectors to all the hoses and components, add air pressure to the cylinders (assists lowering the jacks when no weight is on it), add ATF fluid (not included, I bought 3 quarts of Valvoline Maxlife full-synthetic ATF, $5/qt on Amazon), run it up and down a few times (it lifts fairly unevenly at first under no load), and bleed it carefully,...

But once set up, no real maintenance is needed other than an occasional bit of grease on the lube points.

One nice thing about the QJ is that the hoses all quick-disconnect which makes it easier to store.

One note: Do NOT disconnect the hoses when the the unit is pressurized... Lower the unit completely, or if raised put it on the locks and release the pressure by lowering slightly onto the locks before disconnecting. If you do disconnect under pressure, it won't lower the car, bleed out the fluid or do anything else catastrophic, but it is virtually impossible to *re-connect* a fitting if the lift portion is under pressure!

Any long-term users?
I've only had mine a few months, but there are very few complaints online about these.

One complaint I do have is their tech-support phone team is under-staffed and under-trained. I had a small issue with mine when purchased and it was frustrating dealing with them. I eventually shot a message to the marketing guy who does all the youtube videos for quickjack, and he took care of the issue immediately.

I think you could probably drop the engine onto a lift table with the QJ, though not nearly as easy as a full height lift would be...
