Bought an R32!

I have a 20th Anniversary GTI as my daily. I couldnt decided if i should wait for the R32 or not, plus i needed a daily car so i went with the 20AE instead. I have fit 4 adults in the car just fine. One of the rear passengers was 6'3" as well. Its not a luxury fit, but its fine. I usually dont carry that many people anyways. The R32 must be awesome with the AWD because my 20AE handles great! The trunk space is pretty good too. You can get a lot of stuff in these cars if you organize right. The brakes are great too!

The car just gets better, my Cayenne TT is due in August so it has served its purpose well for me. Short trips, long trips its fun to drive and rock solid. 5K miles and no problems, other than a check engine light, which I'm sure is a faulty sensor.
The downside is the car is small, if you're young and nimble then you wouldn't even notice. I am probably going to sell it to get something bigger (F250 Powerstroke), but everytime I drive it I think I should keep this car. As it got broken in it seemed to get better, and that's something I've never noticed with Porsches..they always seem the same.
I think it's a great value a great stepping stone from ordinary cars to Porsches, but the magazine articles complain that it is too pricey, but then again what do they know..less and less the more I read them.
Some really tout the EVO and STI but I like the understatement of the R32, in fact the only thing I don't like about the GT3 (which I just bought) is the rear wing..too boy racer, same complaint (though less so) as the others.
It's a worthy choice as a fun all around car and great for the days you can't drive a Porsche. I liked the Cooper S but the supercharger was annoying and it had less oomph!

I guess not long enough, I just sold the X51 with 6K on it. A funny thing though each one I buy I think I'm going to keep it forever; and then a better one comes along..this time it was the GT3, so I do have a little sanity left.

viken,
you are right, as usual, the boxers do takes a while to open up. my 3 months old C2 just cleared 11,000 miles with 3k on track. it feels very nice much better and responsive than new.

a lower audi would be a better choice imho

I just got an Evo and haven't decided whether to remove the wing. Its got plenty of room for 4, can hold my bike in the trunk with the wheels off, has fantastic driving dynamics and goes pretty well when its spooled up. It does need suspension; I think the nervous feel described in the press is simply a function of poor alignment and mismatched sprigs/dampers. I'm probably going to add coil overs in the next couple of months.
