Default 6 point harness use - i learned something

By reading the Schroth PDF

I never knew that they recommended crossing the shoulder harness webbing.

Interesting. In my entire driving/racing career I have never seen harnesses setup like that.

Interesting Craig..this set up would absolutely prevent a belt(s) from slipping off your shoulder(s) were the unthinkable to happen.

That’s very odd. I’ve looked inside many race cars over the years at professional events and have never seen one set up that way.

They recommend crossing the belts when the anchor points are >18" back. That's pretty far.

Exactly as said. Haven't had the need to do it with the OEM cages in our cars.

Thanks DB, that makes sense, I tried it and saw no need to do so with harness only about 8" from seat back.
