The track experience will be incredible...my first time on the track with this car, I peeked at the speedo towards the end of the front straight at Willow Springs raceway, 145 mph....effortlessly. Like they say, any idiot can go fast in a straight line. I enjoy idiocy!

Welcome to the club! The E46 M3 is a great gateway drug to the 996/997 GT3 platform, you've joined myself and many others to make the transition, no looking back now!

Some of us do NASA Time Trials with our GT3. The GT3 Mk 2, delivers such incredible performance, I am continually in awe.
I have observed, that the E46 M3 is one hell of a race car platform...NASA SoCall is loaded with them. They are brutally fast, as I am intentionally slow, cautious. I must admit I am overly cautious in the corners, don't really throw an anchor out per se, but I am taking no chances for an off course excursion. Sure, stuff happens....it happens on the street too.
On a straightaway, our GT3 cars are brutally fast, and the engine feedback at WOT, from 5,000 to 8,000 RPM, unbelievable. Will they kick butt on a well driven, and correctly modified
E46 M3? On paper...the GT3, with a few mods, should come out on top with a superior power to wt. ratio.....The E46 M3 cars I have been on the track with, are fully modified race cars...they are not street/track cars, they are track cars. My GT3 is a street, and now and again, track car. That's fine with me.....in my area, we have lots of incredible twisty back roads to drive. Wouldn't want to miss that!

Bmw e36/46 so easy to flog around the track. So easy to do corrections. Not so much with the rear engine 6gt3. 1st time on track at thill 1st session spun 3 times. Once you learn how to drive the 6 you can drive majority of cars normally aspirated ones.
