If we are talking time pieces, I find the Rolex Daytona Cosmograph keeps excellent time in the GT3. Gold and stainless...Stainless only are way overpriced and too hard to get. Too much hype, IMHO...

Breitling Chrono Avenger M1 - Only Chronograph that is water resistant and operational at a depth of 3,300 feet. Titanium case. It is very cool. You could consider it GT3 of watches.

if you have a big wrist, try panerai 1950. it makes my SS daytona look like a toy.

I remember getting a white plastic cheap watch several years ago that said Porsche Cup on it and had a 951 going around as the second counter. Obviously no Rolex but it was a fun "toy." My kids, who were little at the time, thought it was great!

Just out of curiosity, why do they make these watchs good to depths of 3300 feet?? Is that really necessary? I suppose if its owner was in a plane crash and the wreckage settled on the ocean floor 3000 ft down, at least whomever recovered it would have one hell of a nice working watch. Otherwise what is the point?? I dont think the human body can withstand the pressure of anything greater than 300 feet.. Nice selling point I guess for bragging rights - if anyone cares.
As far as the SS Daytona - YES way too over priced. It became the hottest watch a few years back and sells for much more than the two tone. I have the submariner and wanted that watch, but I couldnt see the logic behind it as Rockit said. Went for a Breitling crosswinds Special and it looks great in the GT3.. But then again so does everything!

Damn, now I'm gonna have to go shopping for a watch as a GT3 accessory? You guys are making me think my Timex Atlantis 100 will get me laughed out of the GT3 owners club.

rockit,
pricey - true, but i'm not sure about overpriced. Certainly a lot is in the eye of the beholder, but imho the construction and finish are second to none and comparable with patek.
