Continentals DW & DWS have served me well on a couple other cars.
The new Michelin AS3's on my M5 are really good in the rain, surprisingly sticky in really wet conditions.

The one complaint about the older DW was the softer sidewall. I had them as street tires on an 86 3.2 and they were well suited to its (restored) stock suspension. Very comfortable and quiet, good performance, and safe in rain.

The new Conti Extreme Contact Sport, according to reviews, is a direct rip-off of the outgoing Michelin Super Sport. Much stiffer sidewalls, comparable performance to the SS, and even better in the rain.

I am probably going to install these on the GT3 as 'rain' or 'cold' track tires. I'll continue to run the NT-01's on dry track, and the Sumis to get to and from...

You can never have enough wheels!

I have a set of PS2 and a set of Sumi. The PS2 are a little smoother, quite and a tad stickier. But for street driving not worth the triple price for light street driving. For the $ the HTZs are really good. I tried the Conti DW and took them off after a few hundred miles.

Sumi's are fine on the street, plenty capable, but certainly not the most capable. On the track, not so great, they get greasy feeling and do not live up to the car's ability, but I can have fun at almost any speed.
