Default Chrome Turbo Twist, hollow?

How do I tell if these are hollow and is there really much of a difference?

These came with the car and not really sure what i'm going to do with them.

Thanks.

I have both the solid spoke that came with my C4S, and the hollow spokes I bought off a then brand new 2003 Twin Turbo. Looking at the valve stems, I am prettry sure those are NOT the hollow spokes. The valve stems of the hollow spokes are metal and have a nut holding them in. I could be wrong, though. Check the back of the spokes. Hollow spokes will have a smooth rounded back, solid spokes will be ridged. Here's a few pics, from a 2003 twin turbo, and the part number you see is for the rear wheel. And yes, there is a big difference in weight, and price between the solid spokes and the hollow spokes.

I see. Yes the valve stem def look different. I'll take a look at the back of the wheels tomorrow. These came off a '99 C2, I'm guessing the hollows would have been an option on this car if available at all.
Thank you for the info!
I'll take a look in the classified section to get an idea of value. I'm probably going to list them on CL locally.

Hollow spoke twists weren't offered for the 996 until midway through the production of the 2001 turbo models. Early 2001 turbo cars came from the factory equipped with solid spoke twists.

Your polished twists are most likely solid spoke.

Thank you for the info. I was thinking these were probably not hollows but wanted to see how I tell.

Thanks again.
