Father/son 1/4 mile track fun

As someone who might have a few 1/4 mile passes under his belt, don't dismiss skill and practice so quickly. Driving skill, getting to know a car better, and experience bet you a lot of time reduction. With enough runs under your belt you will find published times conservative in many cases.

Glad you got out to have some fun and enjoy a little speed. Better than most people manage with their sports cars.
If the conditions were bad, go here http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php and you can correct for DA, which makes a huge difference.
A stock 996 will easily go low-mid 13s @105 without any fancy tires, cheater-conditions, abuse, or etc. The more you do it, the better you'll get!
