Stick Or Tiptronic What Do You Preffer?
I'll start this off for me it's a Tiptronic. Not because it's what I prefer. It's because it was in my face at the time , also I'm getting lazy. Another reason is that I like my Wife to enjoy the Porsche from time to time behind the wheel.

It's all about what you enjoy. I don't think there as any shame in desiring the tiptronic over the 6-speed. I have a 6-speed in my coupe, but I wouldn't mind adding a tiptronic cab to the fleet. I am about to spend a lot of time in Atlanta, and if I had to deal with the traffic every day, a tip would make sense.

The vast majority prefer stick.
Mine's a Tip, and I love it. I use it for my DD, which is why I went the Tip route. Clutch-in, clutch-out is a crappy game to play on So CA freeways at the start or end of a work day.
I have also raced it. People that think you can not be competitive with a Tip have never driven a Tip (or, are just poor drivers on the track).
In D mode, it's certainly not the most "spirited" car. In M mode, it's as much fun as any stick. I have a '14 Cayman with PDK, and the driving experience is quite similar.
As a disclaimer: The Tip Generation 1 (I think '99 to 2001?) was quite poor compared to the second generation Tip.

I don't know the difference by any means, but I was told that keep fluids changed regularly and forget about it.

I have not driven my PCar Tiptronic yet other than limping to the shop. (still working on it) , but I have a A4 Quattro with a 3.2 that's amazing with paddles

My truck is an automatic. Wouldn't mind getting a tip 986/7 someday for my girlfriend to enjoy as she doesn't drive manuals. SLC is very manual-friendly with the relatively light traffic & loads of open roads outside the city proper, so it's not a big deal for me to drive the 6-speed daily. If I was back in D.C. it would be a tough call with the traffic.
