Drivers side window microswitch
Hi everyone, is this the microswitch I need for my 04 Carrera's drivers side window that goes down a bit when opening the door but won't stay down? Thanks, Ralph

If the window goes down when you lift the handle, but the goes right back up when you release, it is the microswitch in the door lock assembly, not available separately. The car uses that switch to see if the door is open, and when the switch fails the car thinks the door is closed all the time, so the window goes back.up when you release the handle.

I concur. You're looking at a latch replacement rather than a microswitch replacement. I've done the driver side latch and it wasn't too bad but is a bit fiddly getting your hands in the door and avoiding the sharp edges. There are some good DIY's. Make sure you get the correct triple-square driver.
