Glad to hear it went moderately well. I was thinking about heading down but my kids tennis tournament spilled over into Sat.

Ok, update time.

I drove it home. Drove just fine, and no issues except one. The fore-aft shifter cable end fell off the shift-shaft! It was embarrasing. I had to push it into a lot, jack it up and push the cable end back on the shaft. I don't see how it's supposed to stay on there without any kind of locking? Weird.

Only other thing I noticed was a bit more road noise and vibe from the front trans mount inserts I added. They were the soft 'street' version, and didn't seem very rigid but there's a bit more road noise and vibe or I'm just super-attuned to any little change after my work.

Glad I got the bearing in and new clutch. I may offer it for sale again but the new price will be concomitantly higher.

I use zip ties to secure the cables. They popped off on me at the track.

^Yup^ Zip ties ! Re: trans mount inserts. I put the black ones in mine. I was verging on being shocked when I started the car and backed it out of the garage. It was so different, that I immediately started to run through a mental checklist of the reassembly process. I thought maybe I screwed something up... It's pretty amazing that the stock insert works so well at isolating the cabin from NVH. Unfortunately, it doesn't wear particularly well, and it's a pain in the butt to change.

I'll get them zip tied and go for another drive.

The bad part about it, I was stopped for a light, and there was a RR crossing behind me. When the light turned green, and I had no gears, the folks behind me sitting on the tracks were a bit impatient. One guy in a truck helped me push it to the side.
