Ouch (hit pothole)
Hit a pot hole and partially crunched / split rear bumper above rear driver side exhaust cut out. Doubt this can be repaired. Question is for a 1999 Cabriolet C4 , does any 99 - 01 bumper work ( 4S , turbo , GT3 et al) or should it be straight across.
thx much

OP...kc means the 4S and Turbo are for a widebody car. Your car is a narrow body. You can find used bumper covers at a few places....DC Automotive or LA Dismantlers are a few.

You might be able to get it fiberglassed and then imperfections filled with flexible epoxy. Maybe post some pics?

If you need a new cover, I am parting out a 2000 C4 coupe that has a perfect rear bumper cover. It is slate grey metallic.

I have bought several parts from them and they are good to deal with including free shipping.

Dang. That was some pothole.
The bumper cover will need replacing. As others have offered you can seek out one from a salvaged car. Be aware -- this my 2nd hand experience when having two Porsche cars in for accident repair -- a salvaged bumper cover may not be in very good condition so look carefully before you buy.
(In once case insurance company "insisted" on a used bumper cover and the body shop argued against this but insurance company, well insisted. Salvage bumper cover ordered and it was in worse condition than the one that was on the car. Another time insurance company insisted on a used headlight. Body shop searched and found one for sale but seller wanted money up front. Body shop refused -- owner told me that's not the way he does business -- and insurance company paid for a new head light.)
Exhaust system ok? Alignment? Wheels/tires?

Ask around some of the bigger motorcycle shops in your area. With all of the Tupperware on new bikes now there are more bike folks doing plastic repair.
Solvent
Or hot iron
Or hot air

I've always wanted to try those plastic welders, looks like a good option...
