Bye, bye 2004 C4S Cabriolet
It's a sad day in the Riad household, my beloved C4S has finally died.
215,000 miles and 13 years is a very good run. She still looks brand new, but I had a catastrophic engine failure... and so this is where we part.
Anyone can tell me what I can get for the rest of the car that's in perfect condition? 5k?
x-posted in off-topic as well.
Thanks,
Rob

Ohhhhhhh-noooooooooooooo!
Sorry to hear. I would say a roller for someone planning a swap, or V8 would be looking at $7-9k for a car which is in otherwise very good cond, however the high miles is going to turn a lot of people off. In a case like this, being in a rush is going to hurt value. Maybe if you can wait a few months for the right person.
Good luck moving forward. If you want a 99 C2 aero. I have one for sale, and I deliver too!

Jesus Riad, it's been a long run for you. Bummer about your engine failing. I'd suggest your roller price might be in the 5-8k range once you locate the right buyer. You must be busy, don't see that many posts from you recently, hope all is well other than your Porsche problem. Good luck finding a roller buyer.

Seems like the timing chain.
Right now looking at a 991 C4S, or C4S Cab.

Do a bit of digging around the engine before posting the car for sale. You'll get more money for it if you have some information regarding the engine. It makes a difference if there is no hole in the block, intermix or cylinder scoring to the potential buyer. It did to me when I bought non running 996. The intermix and hole is easy to check.
The car looks really good by the way. This would be a good starting point for a DYIer if the price is right.
