Good point. My kid got 3rd place in his high school conference wrestling championship this weekend. I was proud of him and everything, but man I really like the kid that got first better.

The kid that got first had bitchin' glasses and a poster, and I also like the 2nd place guy better because he held his medal up to show everybody.

Just look at how unloved that 4th place guy is. His parents are totally ready to upgrade to your boy.

I was talking to my friend today who is looking at an 08 Cayman S with the manual transmission and he was researching the "Chrono package"
I told him that I am glad mine doesnt have any of that launch control garbage or dampener change electronics. My 996 is very basic and raw just how i like it. I test drove a MBZ E350 thinking i would trade mine in for something more gentlemanly. After that experience I just cant do it. The 996 is still the best pure sports car experience. So let the 993 and 997 snobs pay top dollar for their headlights. Mine is still a 911 in every way.

I don't think anybody in my area of Tennessee even knows what my car is. I see a few Boxsters with Alabama tags passing through on their way to Huntsville sometimes. An older gentleman at the local O'Reilly's said "nice Ferrari". He went on to explain that he saw the prancing horse in the center of the badge and, well...

You should have told him it was a kit car that turned a Beetle into a Mustang...

Enjoy while you have them because you can't take them beyond the grave. Ha!

Wonder if he thinks Ferrari makes trains?

I live around mostly trucks. Once you leave Dallas heading west it gets primitive pretty quick. Most people in the area know it's a Porsche, but almost all of them think it's $100,000 or more to own one. I do not disabuse them of their mistake.

Ha! yes, he probably would!

I will add, a Ferrari collector friend explained that the tail is always curved upwards on the Ferrari logo. Don't think I would ever have noticed that. But then again, none of the cars in my collection have 2 commas in the price tag..

I don't get why the A45 AMG was parked next to the others. Regardless of the AMG badge, it looks out of place. Its like putting a WRX with the group. Might be quick and agile, but still out of place.

I'm with Lowpue on this, I like them all, but unlike him I don't have collection like that yet.

It looks like vintage may have been a poor word choice. It's just older and so 2000 and I like it
