I need to catchup on these. Are they up on Netflix?

I considered a 996 turbo because of the issues and reputation of the M96 engine. But instead I chose a decent '99 coupe with the intentions of an engine rebuild, then I would go through the suspension, brakes etc. as needed myself.
Presently the car is at Flat6 Innovations getting a 3.6 Stage 1 rebuild including the IMS Solution.
I welcome the criticism which has caused the undervaluation of these cars. They've given me a gift!
I also own an SRT6 Roadster, another undervalued car due to the same thought process of car snobs. This car has been the best bang for the buck purchase I've ever made!
I'll give away another secret deal out there.

Pontiac Solstice GXP. And - if you can find one of the GXP coupes - you're really got a rare bird.

Mallet has done LS2 conversions on these cars. Their web site looks current, but not sure they are still being produced.

Rarity is one of the things I like about the SRT6 cars. Only 1252 Roadsters produced and about 3000 cars total. I've owned mine for over 7 years and never been in the presence of another one.

Yes you are correct. I'd enjoy seeing a Chevette at a show or a Cruise Night and talk about "What were they thinking?" It gets boring seeing the same"popular" stuff over and over....
Rare does not equal valuable, but often times has an interesting story/history behind it.

I meant to say "Rare does not ALWAYS equal valuable".

It was a shame that Pontiac got the ax - I was waiting for a call from a dealership when their first Solstice Coupes arrived. Obviously that call never came. The Solstice GXP was a fun car, but visibility for tall people was terrible.

When it was my wife's turn to take a test drive in a Solstice GXP, I took the sales guy aside and said, "FYI, my wife has won the women's amateur drift title for the past two years, so don't freak out if she starts getting the car sideways."

Total BS. The kid was terrified.
