Default Vibration when cornering

Hi guys,
My 2002 with 95k miles is generally in great shape, but I've noticed front end vibration while cornering aggressively. My car has been lowered and has wheel spacers, but the tires do not rub the wheel wells. My tires are new. Please let me know your ideas/thoughts. If anyone is in the Memphis area, I would love to have an expert drive my car. Thanks

When you put spacers on an already highly engineered 996 then something 'has to suffer' as far as handling of the car. Put the car back to where is was when it left Stuttgart and the vibration will leave. That is my educated guess in your case.

Spacers will not cause a vibration on their own however they will put more stress on the wheel bearings as you are effectively changing the wheel offset. Now if you have a wheel bearing in the beginning stages of failure, you have just exasperated the issue by simply having the spacer on there. Check you wheel bearings for wear.

Bushings & bearings all need to be replaced sooner or later..at 95K, I'd say sooner.

I'd say that is way to broad of a statement and I would not follow this advise. There is no expiration date on said items, and should really only be replaced as they begin to show signs of wearing. With that being said I do notice a fare share of p-car owners love turning things into wear items that need regular replacing. Regardless of their current condition.

See if you can borrow a friends front tires to be sure that it is not the new tires.
At What speed(s) does this happen?

Where are you located?

Agreed,
Obviously you don't just start replacing parts that don't need it...But they all work together and need to be looked evaluated and replaced as needed. Some things should be replaced together to avoid un-needed labor. Like doing an RMS and IMS bearing while doing a clutch job for example.

Wheel bearing was my first thought... it's happened to my 996.

it happens at low speeds around 20 and continues from there. I also have HR control arms. I live in Memphis if anyone is in the area and is able to help. Thanks for all the replies.

i will definitely pull the front spacers off and drive it to start narrowing it down. On a road trip right now to watch my Iowa Hawkeyes in the Outback bowl. Once I return I will start acting on the inputs that have been provided.

No need to do that even. Just jack up the wheel, grab the top and bottom and try to rock it to and fro. Anything more than minimal play is a good sign the bearing is going.
