Introduction
Hello, all. I've been lurking for a while and thought I would register and post an introduction. I've had my 1999 C2 Cab in Ocean Blue for about a year and a half. It's relatively low mileage (3X,XXX) and I use it a few days a week when the weather is nice and it's not cold enough for summer tires to be dangerous (April-November here in NJ).
I've done some minor repairs including the ignition switch, a cable in the top which came loose, replacing the top hydraulic cylinders with rebuilt units and some paint correction. Next on my list is changing the transmission fluid and spark plugs (neither have been done in the last 10 years, if at all).
I've found a lot of useful information here so far and hope to maybe contribute in some way in the future.
Now, for the pictures!
Here's one of my last "fun" car at the track. Unfortunately I was rear-ended and it was totaled 5 years ago:

Welcome to a nice cab! I love your previous track car, sorry it was rear ended. I am a former ITR owner and until now I miss my ITR #4439, black European model 1999. I replaced it with a 944 turbo S that was great but some how my daily driver ITR was the best and easiest car for both track days and DD. I should have kept it! Engine was bulletproof. The 951 was a great track car, very effective and faster than the ITR but I had more fun in the type R: I miss the engine reving at 8,500 rpm with the cat delete... 996 is certainly close to that balance with a great reving engine but there is something special about the ITR ... I cannot explain you have to drive it to experience it.

Thanks, guys. I don't think I'll be able to make it to Vegas, but I'd like to start attending some more local activities next year.
There really is. It wasn't fast but it had cams and an intake and when the big lobes came on after 6,000 next to a guardrail or in a tunnel it was...

Both cars look great!
I, too, am a Type R fan. Was just on H-T in the Type R section looking at them. Hoping to get one some day!
Hope you enjoy the new car!

I would like to get another one but they're just not easy to find and prices are rising rapidly on really clean examples. Drivers' cars and shells are plentiful but the low-mileage all original ones are fetching 997 money on BAT.
