I like the more subtle look with less contrasting stripes.

i was not a fan of this idea on a 996 until i saw the silver gray combo. looks great!!

I would make the last 2' of the stripe coming down curve to leave about another 15MM between the stripe and the edge of the hood.. just to play in to the headlong line that's already there..

Default Inspired by YouTube - GT2 Strips on 996.1

Using the same method as BusyDadsWorkshop, I crafted these stripes on my 99' 996.1 (
). I also considered the "R-type" stripes but thought the way the hood narrows was a bit off. The GT2-style made it stand out a bit.

It took about 4-5 hours and $100 in materials but it was a fun project. Heck, if I don't like the color or want to take it off, it's an easy peel.




I added the 1/4" inside pinstripe to hide some not perfectly straight lines.
