Heat to the footwells

Heat to the footwells
My 2003 C4S doesn't seem to be throwing heat to the foot wells. May have had something to do with the LOW temperatures we've been seeing in this area lately, but hasn't corrected itself.
Any suggestions for sources that will give me an idea of how to fix this myself if at all possible?
Thx.

I assume the following: engine up to operating temperature, temp set on high, you have pushed the button on the climate control unit to blow out the footwell vents. And it doesn't work? Is it blowing any heated air anywhere? There is a flap in the air control box that has foam on it. PITA to get to. Usually deteriorates and blows foam out the vents.

Thanks for responding. Yes, operating temperature reached and good warm air flowing from all other vents. Just the foot wells (well, at least the driver's foot well that I'm sure about) still chilly. It does feel like it must be a flap that's not opening. Not at all surprised that it would be a total PITA to deal with. It's been absolutely freezing here in Massachusetts lately so getting increasingly interested in dealing with it.

I think there are two air control valves, one for the driver and one for the passenger footwells. Could be just the air control valve got disconnected, or the little rod that opens the flap gets disconnected. You have to crawl under the dash and check the air control valve connections and some little control rods that open the flaps. I'll try to find a picture. Seems someone quite awhile back had a similar situation.

Cannot find the post, but here is a diagram. There are some little electric motors that work the flaps, like 6, 11 and 16. It has been found that the actuator arm gets disconnected from the flap that it is supposed to work. Sometimes as simple as re-clipping it to the internal flap so that it opens and closes.
