Do I get an honorary invite given my screen name even though I drive a Cayman?

I don't know, remember that one time that guy went to a car show and the guy with a Cayman was trying to be nice to a kid? That guy could be Eddie. It's a trap.

So tonight is the first night I have had a minute to spend some time looking through the car after bringing it home. Good news is the old license plates were in with the spare tire/jack and the license plate hole plugs were in one of the plates, so got the holes covered up now. Bad news is, one of the rear wheels, I thought was just curbed at my initial walk around of the car, is damaged pretty good in 2 areas. I had a feeling there was wheel damage based on my drive, but just had t had time to look into it further since. So it looks like I will be on the look out for a new/used set of wheels at some point. 😢

Eddie showed more humility in one sentence than that guy showed in an entire thread. I think he's clean.

Nice car! Beautiful Wife! Lucky Man!

Sorry to hear about the rear wheel damage.

RE: Vegas.... Anyone know how much it costs to fly a car from Tampa to LV? Probably cheaper to just buy one there! LOL!

I think I was looking at the same car you bought. Is this the wheel? They still have the car listed on CL. That looks fixable.

Thanks HawkFan#12.

I'm in Snottsdale and always willing to help. And any excuse to visit Vegas does not hurt.

Yea us Florida boys are better off buying the highest mileage 996s we can find near Vegas for this one... pick em up at the airport, thrash them for the weekend, maybe add some custom vinyl, track till brakes/tires give out then bury them in the desert.

yes that's the car I bought. I saw that wheel and he said he was going to fix it, never did. But the right rear one is a lot worse. Long story on how I looked at it and ended up buying since I don't live there, but I will get it taken care of one way or the other. Ultinately I wired the money to the guy with promises he would do things, and then didn't do them. I will be leaving Palm Desert Auto Sales a nasty yelp review.

Ouch. That's no buena on his part. I think I'm going the private party route. Hope to at least get a feel for the history on the car.

Yeah, the good news is I manage 7 body shops for an insurance company so I can get things taken care of at a bit cheaper price.

I would get that IMS bearing inspected too.... but that would require some work.
