Thanks everyone for the welcome! And yes, I am a very lucky man. My wife is by far out of my league.
As for the Hawks, I could start a thread all by itself to talk about my love for them!

Umm, looks like we now have an entire planning committee for the 2017 Summer Rennlist 996 Forum Vegas Get Together: Gonzo, Kalash, Hawk and the guy with the nicest C4S on the planet. Let us know when you guys get some dates determined and hotel rooms blocked. An itinerary of events would be nice to have by January 15th.

Umm, looks like we now have an entire planning committee for the 2017 Summer Rennlist 996 Forum Vegas Get Together: Gonzo, Kalash, Hawk and the guy with the nicest C4S on the planet. Let us know when you guys get some dates determined and hotel rooms blocked. An itinerary of events would be nice to have by January 15th.

Clean looking 996, nice pickup!
There's a good chance I could make the drive to Vegas for an annual thing. Shoulder seasons are my favorite time to visit, but summer is cool too. Drive out by Red Rock, maybe one to Mt. Charleston, the dam or around the lake. Lots of options.

We've discussed having a 996 forum get together for quite some time.
DTMiller offered to have it in his driveway. But I think either his mom or his wife put the nix on that.
Then, some other people made suggestions of where to hold such a gathering. Generally, the suggestions were to have it in said suggester's hometown.
Then, we realized that Gonzo and Kalashnikov both live in Phoenix. And Phoenix is in the desert, just like Vegas is. And, we all like Vegas. So, naturally, everybody but Gonzo and Kalash decided that Gonzo and Kalash should organize a national get together in Vegas this summer. Of course, when I say "everybody", I really mean "just me" but nobody else objected (other than Gonzo and Kalash) which officially made it unanimous.
Funny thing is that over the past 3 or 4 months since their appointments as organizers, neither Gonzo or Kalash seem to be doing anything to organize it. That's where you fellas come in. So, don't wait for those guys, just go ahead and start the planning yourselves. Let us know what you decide and start a new thread to share the deets. Build it and they will come. Well, at least some of us will. We are all waiting with bated breath to see what you come up with.
