Default 2000 Cab plastic window replacement

The plastic window in my soft top is starting to delaminate. A local repair shop can sew in a new plastic window for about $ 1000 or put on a whole new top for $ 1900.
The canvas is in great shap but not sure which way to go anyone out there ever replaced a plastic window in a MK1

I was confronted with the same issue a couple of years ago. I attempted to repair the window myself but it takes a lot more patience and skill than I possess to do a good job. I ultimately went for a new top and I'm happy with the decision. I think I paid around $1800 including sales tax for the German A5 canvas with a double-stitched plastic window. There is also a glass window option for a couple hundred more.

Yep. Took 'em a day, and only cost $100.
