Default New-to-me 996 C4S

Picking up my new C4S next week. Guards Red over black. Bone stock. Factory options were red console, red belts, embossed seat crests, and draped leather. 85k miles, Clutch/IMS/RMS/etc. done 3 years/10k miles ago. I had been shopping for a C2, but managed to find this one within my budget. Replacing my Guards Red over black 1989 944S2.

Beautiful car, nice find! I too have just joined the 996 family but I came from the air-cooled side and loving every mile of it.

Nice! Definitely the best color combo (but you knew that already, it seems). And, the extra 25 hp they put in the guards red cars is a nice bonus.

My friend talked me into the C4. You won't regret it. They are sure footed to say the least.

Very pretty car! Might be time to change out the motor mounts based on the gap between the exhaust and bumper cutouts.

I hadn't even considered that the space there would be an indication of mount wear, great idea, thanks!

^ Oh, well then, you are in for a huge surprise. Life changing, really. Do a search and read some of the threads. Your car will shift better. It will eliminate driveline clunking. The car will idle smoother. It will increase torque across the powerband. Your stereo system will sound better. Your wife/girlfriend/mistress/significant other will look hotter. You will develop increased stamina in bed.

Or, you could be like me and have changed them in both cars only to notice nary a difference.

This. Easy as pie, and you need it done.

Not according to the options sticker. What would make you think that it has it?
