I will pay attention to the big oil leak instead of the "guards red"
Ha, yeah, that's water. This is Seattle, after all! The space in the garage where he parked it was bone dry, and the PPI showed no leaks, engine or diff.

The dark spots are oil, the rest is water, put a clean white sheet under the engine you'll be surprised.
How many hours they charge for that? Been considering trying the DIY on that when I am ready.
I just replaced mine this week. Overall it was pretty easy - breaking the lower nuts loose was the hardest part. Need a breaker bar and some wd40. I did the job without jacking the car up - only used the jack to support and raise the engine. I filmed the process and plan on posting a video of how to soon.
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the 911 / 996 / C4S clubs. I love the guards red.
