Default What a difference tires make!

A seemingly banal title I admit, however going from a value tire to a really sticky one and changing the widths completely changed the character of my C4S from significant understeer to a surprising smidge of oversteer.

From stock wheel and tire sizes (HTR Z III) to 245/40/18 + 315/30/18 (Toyo R888):

Not surprised, you went from a street tire to a racing tire. You're right they are completely different. Enjoy the traction!

Gorgeous looking car. Enjoy the new tires, safely and responsibly. OK, not too responsibly!

Tires def look meaty but those 80's style rims overshadow everything.

I love the wheels!

Speed yellow is also the best color

I'm sure the R888s will be much better traction than your old street tires. Good luck in the rain!

That's an increase of what, .8 inches up front? I can see that making a significant difference in front grip. The wheels look a little too much like 5-spoke drag wheels to me, but as with all things visual, your opinion is the one that really matters...

Next upgrade will be racing AOS, as more Gforce in the corners means oil smoke
