Yup, even Slakker is offering his for free!!
I just need to confirm whether we are all talking about the same thing. I don't even know whether there are more than one fan blowers in 996.

Yep. Offer still stands. I'm pretty sure there is only 1. I also verified that the they are the same for 99-05.

Alright Rennlisters, here what's written in the service invoice. I'm sure we're talking about the same thing, but just in case. Based on the labour charge (30 mins), it would be something that's really easy to uninstall, inspect and reinstall. Would be useful if anyone has a link to how to get to this fan, the one in Pelican Parts is for car without a glove box.

I read that invoice as the mechanic spending 30 min to listen to the noise. The time does not include for "remove to inspect further", but as it is written in Newzealandish so I could be wrong......

"Fush and chups"
I hoped that by saying 'Remove to inspect further ...' the Porsche trained mechanic did indeed remove the fan and not just removing the cover of the motor .... or not?
The charge for this work is NZD58 + GST which kind of equals to 30 mins since their hourly rate is $134 + GST.
