Default What should I know about driving a Chrysler 200 in California?

On the flight headed for San Diego. My family rental car is slated to be a sweet Chrysler 200 (they are out of minivans). What do I need to know?

Well, if you are going to be there more than 3 days, you should probably get a California Drivers License, and get the rental smogged, just to be sure.

That you will be ridiculed by all, even Prius owners. Don't even try to valet it, they will park it in Tijuana.

Those might be rarer than 911s in Cali. And, for good reason. On the bright side, your Porsche is gonna seem even greater when you get home to drive vit after this disappointment. Condolences...T

Just make sure you don't lug the engine.

You know, rental cars are the fastest cars in the world.

Just feel secure in the knowledge that you aren't driving a PT Cruiser.

Before signing for it, have the IMS bearing checked. Also, get the D-chunk extra insurance.

Get a Chrysler emblem tattoo and vacation with your shirt off.

First thing I'd do is find a good mechanic & drop the engine. While you're in there, replace the clutch & flywheel.

Don't forget to have the blinker fluid checked

Get a full head mask as you don't want anyone to recognize you driving that POS

Oh yea, welcome to America's Finest City

All of these people are really rental car mechanics that are trying to scare your into buying their rental car preventative maintenance products. Just drive it and have fun. As long you finger your sump a few times everything should come out fine.

I just returned a 200 yesterday after being in Oshkosh. Let's just say the only nice thing about it was that it got 34 mpg.

I just love it when you're booking a car reservation and they say things like "BMW 3 or similar" and the "similar" is a 200. As in, you never get the car you *think* you'll get. yeah, yeah, I could've switched it out, but I was running on zero energy and really didn't give a crap about it.
