Well, I took my jaunt. MapMy Drive created a nicely detailed map of my short ride, but really no other data. I also tried MapMyRide created a similar map but also provided average speed and elevation change information (but not all on the same screen). I would say neither of these are ideal for what I would like, but MapMyRide has more info.

Having tried several of these and even finding one that gives all the information, I will stick with my GPS thank you very much. The phone apps just do not impress me at all.
