Sounds great! It would be cool if you started a thread and did a write up on the installation and your conclusions . Not sure if before and after dynos are an option but that would be cool to see as well.

Since this car is getting an FSI engine it will be on their exactly prescribed maintenance plan and the only changes to the engine itself will be their recommendations.

FYI, I run distilled water and Water Wetter once the temps get above freezing and it works much better than the recommended anti-freeze mix.

Still a lot of work to do but I'm damn happy to have it home. Major shout outs to the following for hooking me up!

Heritage Collision in Sherman, TX (well worth the travel)
Woody's Parts in Bastrop TX
Getty Design
Tarret Engineering

Thx to the above, total cost for everything except paint has been $2600, of which $500 were specialty suspension pieces. Without the above vendors it could easily have been double that.

Unexpected bump in the road.... Time to decide whether to give the JRZ Cup dampers another try or not. In the meantime, time send the Moton that has 6 days since the last rebuild back to the shop.

If you only knew.

Interestingly enough, replacing the shaft is only going to cost $250 surprisingly. Just waiting to see what the availability of the replacement is.

Ok, going to start working on the vid.

Here's some laps followed by the grand finale. 2:30.9 was my fastest lap of the weekend so none of the laps in the video were particularly fast but the ending is interesting. There is a white 996Cup car that I passed earlier in the session and he had been slowly creeping up on me. He's behind me most of this video then gets close enough for the point by. After he passes it's interesting to watch him overdrive then point me back by. Him and I had fun playing around a couple of times over that weekend. As for the track car, it felt strong and balanced. Gt3's Gt4's and TTs were not a problem to over take. But I was pretty much track fodder for most of the Cup cars and the GT3RS's.

One thing interesting about the end of the video that I mentioned in another thread but not here is that my recollection of what happened and the story I have been telling was extremely inaccurate. Even to the point that there is a black mustang that I pass going into that same turn about 10 minutes earlier and I thought that was when I lost my brakes. Apparently, inaccurate memory is not uncommon in these types of situations but it sure seems pretty weird.
