With a $40K budget and some time you could be in a CPO 2009. Not many options, but has a warranty. I saw a white one in Houston for about that.

There is a very reputable dealer I've dealt with numerous times with a 2003 C2 Cabriolet (think it comes with a hardtop) with only 33k miles asking $28,900. They are in Massachusetts.
