Just F.Y.I. re '96 993 Turbo
Watching "what's my car worth" this evening on Velocity. A '96 993 Turbo with just over 30k miles "did not sell (meet the reserve price)" at $160,000.
The car was truly perfect. As new.
But at $170k or so, that car would not be used daily. Simply too expensive. So that makes me think that 996's and 997.1's will start to hold their values and even rise a bit.
It seems to me people are forcing up the prices of air-cooled cars simply because they want a Porsche, and there are no more "new" ones. But first and foremost
they are buying a Porsche. As knowledge gets around that our generation cars are actually better cars than the 993 or 964, they will catch on.

Saw the same episode. They did mention because Air Cooled Turbo's have been on an up-ward trend, that many turbo's have come to market trying to ride the trend.
Not sure about NA 996 & 997's, but agree that turbo models might start to hold their values, or even gain some.
