Yeah I almost mentioned that too but wasn't really relevant to this subject.

It would be good for another 6HP if you stick some DiNoc "carbon fiber" on it.

I did this years ago, but used the one from a 3.8 that has the resonator. I just left it unconnected. Any ideas how it was controlled?

Vacuum actuated, as the revs went up the valve closed to give more noise and POWER!

Of course im joking about the power...

You can mod a 3.8 997 to permanently close the flap regardless of rpm too.

Haha, you know it. Some of use have to keep the minimum jerk quota alive on RL.

Honest question: Does this make anything better, or is the main advantage having A Newer Factory Bit (Looks Cool)?

Looks cool to whichever random stranger you want to pop the hood for, kinda like a girl that has a Brazilian wax job.

I have the debate in my head over keeping it standard vs using the newer looking awesome part!

Standard won, but seeing this makes me reconsider as I could always just swap it back

WANT....Love the way that looks. I wonder if the lid would fit on a 996 box or do you need the whole thing?
