Why did Disney/Pixar choose the Porsche 996?

Am I the only one that thinks the "Brad" girl is a bipolar psychotic nympho?
I thought Pixar chose the 996 for the sexy librarian retro cat eyes:

Am I the only one who thinks that every one of the Liberty Mutual characters deserves their fate?
"Researched cars for a year…then drove it into a tree leaving the dealership."
"You did everything with Brad…and then, you totaled him."
…and, so on.
These people do not deserve the nonjudgemental benefits of airbags.
Or, perhaps I'm just a bit harsh after a long day. You be the judge.

Went to the premier of Cars as they had it at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Saw a real version of Sally while there. Strange to see such a short wheelbase 996 but she exists!
Oh and Paul Newman was there too...

* the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
* incongruity between what is expected to be and what actually is, or a situation or result showing such incongruity
* of, resembling, or containing iron
"The best place on the Internet to learn about usage and grammar is, of course, a Disney Cars thread on Rennlist," thought 5chn3ll. "Once I have been properly informed about the proper use of 'irony,' I think I'll head over to the "I Bought KK's Car" thread to see tolerance and wisdom being shared freely."
"Holy crap, I just realized that MY car has orange side markers" could have been ironic, but if you point out the irony, it is generally no longer ironic. The irony is the obvious incongruity between what you say and what you're implying.

Katie Hafner was a new reporter for Business Week. As Jobs and Hafner walked through a parking lot during an interview, they saw a Porsche. It was one of the lower-priced models.
“That’s the kind of Porsche that dentists drive,” Steve said dismissively.
So not only was he a Porsche admirer, he also had a firm grasp of being a Porsche a-hole elitist. Sweet!
That man was quite possibly the biggest a-hole ever born. He pushed Apple to create some next-level stuff, but such an insufferable, arrogant *****.

I think this can be said of most if not all "visionaries" and otherwise uber-successful people. It's usually also said by people that A) Didn't know them particularly well and/or (B) Had an axe to grind...
