Actually the sunroof delete is a pretty rare and desired option.

I feel the same way about them that you do!

Your new Porsche looks like it was well worth the price. Congrats!

Congrats
Sweet looking car, I like the yellow.

First 996 I wanted to purchase was yellow, but it had a brutal PPI.

Well it finally arrived at my folks house on Friday night at midnight. Pics taken with a potato cam...

Spent Saturday effing around getting the out of province inspection done and getting it registered in BC. Then a nice drive up the Sea to Sky highway home with my son. Windows down so we could listen to the sounds from the PSE, awesome!

Got a few things that need to be sorted out on it (squeak in the steering wheel, think it's rubbing on the horn ring, wheel off and a little vaseline on it should do the trick), clunk in the rear going over speed bumps (swaybar loose? End links/bushings? will go in an check it out) and it's probably due for motor mounts (the exhaust tips are a little lower than they should be but nowhere near where I've seen some sagging. All pretty basic stuff I'm happy to pick away at over the next couple of weeks.

*if the steering wheel squeaks when it is turned far left or far to the right, it is most likely related to the replacement of the turn signal and 3 other "stalks" which come as one part - there is some sort of bushing that needs to be present and sometimes it is not replaced.

look thru your service records and see if the 4 stalk part was replaced.

It happens when the wheel is turned even a small amount in either direction. It sounds like it's coming from right behind the wheel itself. I did a search here on RL and from descriptions from other threads it sounds like it's the wheel rubbing horn ring.

Glad you're getting the motor mounts done. I mentioned this to Pfaff when I was looking at the car as I could see the passengers side exhaust about 1/2" lower than drivers. They told me it looked normal and didn't think there was anything wrong. Regardless, it looks like you've got yourself an amazing car and I hope you enjoy it!

as long as it comes in second for speeding tickets, I'll deal with the shame of it.

Yeah, funny hey. I think there was enough interest they figured they wouldn't have to bother. Have a set of wevo's coming.
