Default Has anyone used piwis tester II

Hello all!
I was wondering if anyone of you has actually owned and used one of these Chinese made PIWIS tester II?

I would appreciate if you could actually give me factual information as opposed to speculations that I have read in many sites. Moreover, no need to insult Chinese manufacturers, as many have done on this site and many others, since I own and use a Chinese made clone STAR Diagnostic system form my Mercedes, and am extremely satisfied with its performance.

Your factual comments are appreciated in advance.
Cheers,
Zack

I have the PIWIS I copy and is all that you need. No need to pay for the II version for our 996. It cleared my airbag code so it easily paid for itself on the first try. It will come with the old software which may or may not work if you have a newer computer/os(I run it on an old XP laptop). But the old software is all you need for the 996.

The PIWIS II won't help much on cars prior to 2009... The PIWIS I is best for these. My PIWIS II sucks for 996s, but its great for the 9a1 cars.

Thank you for your suggestion.
I would appreciate it if you could clarify the followings for me (since I am a novice in this regard!):
1) Wouldn't I be needing the system they sell in order to connect to the CPU and use the software?
2) Would I be able to program an ignition key for my car.

FYI, I do have the knock-off Durametric cable and its software!

Thanks again!
Zack
