A 2009 C4S has joined the family
The 2000 996 now has another watercooled stablemate to join the Cayman and the '84 911.
The 996 has been my daily driver for the last ten years and more than 140,000 miles. It's been the most reliable car I've owned, and will continue on as my Daily driver to and from LAX - my home airport. I love the car and couldn't bear to part with it after all these years - even with the 2nd gear synchro pretty much gone, the clear coat on the red paint trashed, and the headlights faded and yellow. The full leather interior has help up beautifully though.
It was time for a new member to join the family, so I jumped in with both hands and feet and picked up a beautiful black/black 2009 997.2 C4S! 44,000 California miles, PDK, full supple leather, etc.
What a car!
Phat!!
My beloved 996 - going nowhere!

Yea the 996 has been supremely reliable over the years. It actually has 174,000+ miles on it, and considering that it's still my Daily driver, it'll continue to rack up the miles. I've loved owning and driving the 996 for the past ten years.
One of these days I'll snap a pic of all four together. One of the pics above has three of the four in it.
